Description:

The selected person will join the Intercellular communication in cancer and ageing research group (Cancer research program).

Task:

Technician position in the laboratory for Intercellular Communication in Cancer and Ageing, led by Dr. Patrick Welz, a young research group investigating intercellular communication networks in colorectal cancer and in ageing-related neurodegenerative diseases. The laboratory is part of the cancer research program at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM).

Formation:

Degree in the area of Health Sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, ...).

Experience:

Previous experience in working with mice is highly desirable (holders of an official license to work with animals will have preference).

Knowledge:

Ability to communicate in English (at least on basic level). Previous experience in working in a research laboratory, preferentially with hands-on experience in cell culture, DNA/RNA/protein isolation, western-blotting, cell sorting (FACS), or immunohistochemistry.
