Abstract

Bioinformatics is a growing need in many biomedical research projects. In this talk we will present our experience as a service oriented facility by walking you through different projects we have worked on, with a special focus on epidemiology and public health research. With this, we aim to transmit you the usefulness of having access to a bioinformatics core facility. Last but not least, we hope to receive feedback from attendees that will help us design new services, training and consultations tailored to the researchers' needs.

Biosketch

Júlia Perera Bel completed her PhD at the University of Göttingen (Germany) on cancer genomics. In 2018 she was awarded a grant for bioinformaticians in health research centers, funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, and started working in the Bioinformatics Unit at IMIM, which she leads since September 2021.
