The workshop has been organized by the following doctors: Jorge Ferrer from IDIBAPS; Pedro Herrera from the Université de Genève and Francisco X. Real from IMIM’s Unitat de Biologia Cel.lular i Molecular. There will be over 30 internationally-renowned speakers, including: Chris Wright, Iannis Talianidis, Ken Zaret, Markus Stoffel, and Jonathan Slack. The aim of this workshop is to be a discussion forum on the most significant progress made in the fields of: pancreas development; regeneration; transdifferentiation and the differentiation of stem cells into ß cells. To enrich the forum, speakers from fields other than that of ß cells have been invited, to participate in seminars and debates to explain the advances made in the development of treatments for diabetes and other pancreatic diseases. This workshop is aimed in particular at doctorate students and postdocs. The registration fees are 450 € including registration; board; accommodation and transport to the airport. Some grants are available to fund the journey and the registration fee. The maximum number of participants is 90. For more information click here.
