Molecular cancer therapeutics research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Molecular cancer therapeutics research group (Cancer research program).

Task:

The selected person will participate in the group's research projects. He will carry out experimental work, analysis of results and writing of scientific articles in the context of a translational oncology research group. It will perform support functions, management and general organization of the laboratory. He will perform in vitro experiments of cell cultures and molecular biology. Maintenance of cell lines and viability assays, western blot, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, microscopy. He will also carry out experiments with more complex models (tissue culture, 3D, organoids, cell co-cultures...). It will process human samples (patient tumor samples, blood,...). He will perform and support in vivo experiments. Develop new techniques required by the group. He will also be responsible for writing, reviewing and supervising the group's protocols. He will support the members of the group in carrying out experiments. He will be responsible for training the new members of the group in the correct work and compliance with the protocols and procedures of the group.

Formation:

Degree in Biology. It is mandatory to have the Animal experimentation course. Have the Master in Molecular Biotechnology and a doctorate in Sciences will be positively valued.

Experience:

Candidates should have previous experience in the tasks mentioned previously for 5 years. Mandatory to have worked in a translational research group in oncology

Knowledge:

Must have knowledge in: Translational research, cell cultures, Western blot, qRT-PCR, microscopy, flow cytometry, experiments with animal models of cancer, 3D culture models, data analysis with Image J, QuantityOne, FlowJo, CyteK. Also, it is essential to have experience in in vivo studies. A fluent level of English and computer skills at the level of Office and internet users are required.

Additional information:

It will be assessed positively scientific publications in international JCR-indexed journals. The demonstrated ability to work in research teams will be valued, mainly in translational research projects in oncology. Mandatory to have experience in using the programs Quantity one 1-D Analysis software, Calculsyn, GraphPad and SPSS.This subsidy may be co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, 'One way of making Europe'.
