Deciphering de novo gene birth in populations (101052538)

Description:

The selected person will join the Evolutionary genomics research group (Biomedical informatics research program).

Task:

Generation of biological samples to be able to apply sequencing techniques such as RNA-Seq and Ribo-Seq. Data analysis using computational methods. Development of bionformatics systems.

Formation:

PhD in Biology or similar.

Experience:

Experience of at least 5 years in research.

Knowledge:

Experience in yeast cultures, RNA extraction, sample preparation for Ribo-Seq. At least 4 years experience in bioinformatics. Proficiency in the statistical package R. Programming skills. Experience in the use of computational clusters.
