Project title:

Contract for research line in bioinformatics studies

Research group / Service:

Applied clinical research in hematological malignances research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Applied clinical research in hematological malignances research group (Cancer research program).

Task:

Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) and RNAseq data. Development of bioinformatic approaches for the prioritization of markers based on network analysis and the functional impact of mutations. Development of Deep Learning algorithms for medical imaging and tabular data.

Formation:

Degree in Biochemistry or equivalent. Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics and higher degrees will be valued.

Experience:

Teamwork experience in research projects and in the tasks described above. It is essential to have some experience in in vitro and in vivo experiments to validate detected variants and to design strategies to validate the functional value of the variants detected. Demonstrated experience in artificial intelligence algorithms applied to clinical practice. Mandatory to have been workend in a Hematology service.

Knowledge:

Mandatory fluent level of English and informatics knowledge on bash, R and Python. It will be positively valued to have knowledge on Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch or Tensorflow).

Additional information:

It will be assessed positively scientific publications in international JCR-indexed journals. It will be positively valued to have the Animal experimentation course.
