Project title:

Creation and launch of a Catalan hospital cost benchmarking network

Research group / Service:

Epidemiology and evaluation research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Epidemiology and evaluation research group (Epidemiology and public health research program).

Task:

Analysis of cost data bases related to the CMBD and management of the different versions of GRD groupers of the RECH Database, as well as process control, maintenance ans analysis of the databases. Implementation of economic models and extraction of data from the CMBD of the SNS. Writing of articles, presentation and dissemination of the results. Support to the coordination and direction of the project.

Formation:

Degree in economics, statistics or mathematics or equivalent qualification. A Master's degree in applied statistics will be considered an advantage.

Experience:

Proven experience as an analyst, data manager and statistician. Teamworks skills and proactivity.

Knowledge:

Mastery of databases and statistical programs: Python, Stata, SPSS, R, others. Web application knowledge for databases management (My Box, ...). Open Source software knowledge. Mastery of English. Essential Catalan or Spanish.

Additional information:

Demonstrated experience in projects related to the GRDs and the elaboration and analysis of costs per patient. Mastery of the functioning of the analytical accounting systems in the hospital environment (GESCOT). Mastery of economic models for the adjustment of the cost per hospital patient (MCO, MCO Weights, Propensy Score Matcjhing, GLM, case control). Experience in writing scientific articles, books, communications in national or international congresses.
