We have currently three research lines in which the participation of subjects on a voluntary basis is needed for the development of several clinical studies. All these projects have been approved by the Ethical Committee (CEIC-Parc de Salut Mar), and we assure maximum discretion and confidentiality. Subjects enrolled in clinical trials are compensated economically for inconveniences derived from their participation.
This research line is interested at the clinical pharmacology of abused drugs and its interaction with genes, endophenotypes and environmental associated factors with the abuse of substances and with psychiatric disorders. We need the collaboration of regular/recreational users of different substances and also drug free subjects (without antecedents of prior consumption of drugs of abuse, except alcohol and/or nicotine).
We participate in a multidisciplinary program carried out by different research groups of CIBEROBN (Network Biomedical Research Institute on the Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition) that combines biology, genetics, neuroscience and psychological aspects in different weight situations.
Actually the sample required to complete the study has been achieved, so from this moment has been completed the selection of participants. If from the research group that coordinates this project they inform the need to recruit more participants we will inform the subjects profile required for the same.
Following a multidisciplinary approach covering biochemical, genetic and neuropsychological aspects. We are currently interested at the performance of a clinical trial with healthy volunteers to study substances that will be used in therapy from a pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic perspective. We are recruiting healthy male volunteers, 18 to 45 years old without major medical antecedents and abuse of substances. If you are interested in participating and you want to receive more information about the project send us an e-mail to cognicion(ELIMINAR)@imim.es.
