Join the team

The Puig Laboratory is continuously looking for candidates passionate about scientific research and innovation. We investigate the neural basis of cognition combining in vivo electrophysiology, pharmacology and optogenetics in freely-moving mice. We use mouse models of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric diseases where we examine alterations in neural network dynamics during the performance of cognitive tasks (operant and non operant). We also aim at gaining insight into the cellular mechanisms underlying cognitive amelioration mediated by drug treatments (e.g. antipsychotics), natural compounds (e.g. epigallocatequin-3-gallate) and cognitive stimulation (e.g. environmental enrichment).
